These are pictures of the incredible 2600 Wilshire Blvd Home Savings that was built in 1970. This Santa Monica Landmark features beautiful artwork created by some wonderful Los Angeles artists. The front mosaic was designed by Millard Sheets and executed by Denis O'Connor and Nancy Colbath. The fantastic sculptures are by artist Richard Ellis. The Home Savings Bank chain was purchased by the late Washington Mutual in 1998 for 6.4 billion dollars. Many of the Home Savings branches were either shuttered or converted.
