Robert Vickrey's work blends the real world with magical elements. This style is known as Magic Realism. Vickrey work is some of the best examples of this movement. In his earlier career he painted portraits for the cover of Time Magazine. Sadly Mr. Vickrey passed away this year. This painting is Egg Tempera.
