Tuesday Art ATTACK- George Lawrence Bulleid "The Empress Comes"
English painter George Lawrence Bulleid was born in 1858 in Glastonbury, England. Bulleid was well-known in his day exhibiting at the Royal Watercolour Society, Royal Academy, and Royal Institute of Painters.
Bulleid mostly painted neoclassical and mythical themes that were popular during Victorian times. "The Empress Comes" was painted in oil and is beautifully rendered. Bulleid passed away in 1933.
